The University Of Tennessee Should Hire Former Jaguars Head Coach Gus Bradley

Let me get something out of the way first. Gus Bradley was a horrific head coach during his time in Jacksonville. The wins and losses just didnt pan out the way that I would have liked. I say that because I always loved Gus Bradley the person. He simply wasnt good enough in the game management, execution, or adjustments. He wasnt a good NFL head coach.

I think he could be a great college head coach. His personality is infectious. Players love him. The moment the game against San Deigo and Jacksonville was over, many of the Jaguars players ran over to hug, embrace, and talk to Gus Bradley. They really loved him. He formed bonds with players really quickly. That skill set would serve him well on the recruiting trail.

One thing that Gus Bradley’s defense needs is athletes. Getting those athletes to a place like Tennessee could be his primary focus. If he went to Tennessee and was paired with a really solid offensive coordinator and some coaches who knew the recruiting trails of the SEC, he could be great.

We know that Gus isnt scared of taking a job that isnt look at as the best in the league. Hell, the Jaguars team that he took over was worse than the expansion team that Jacksonville had. With more and more coaches turning down the Tennessee job, it’s time that they brought in the old ball coach Gus Bradley for an interview.

and MJD apparently agrees. That settles it.
